From RED Abstract to CERIS
A Journey of Cherishing Health, Professionalism, and Nature.
I’m Cath Lee, founder of RED ABSTRACT HAIR STUDIO and Academy. With over 20 years of experience as a professional hairstylist, I’ve operated three salons and a hair academy in Malaysia. Over the years, I’ve seen countless clients struggle with scalp concerns — from hair loss and oiliness to sensitivity and dandruff — with few solutions that truly work. I have always believed: Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. That’s why I spent two full years researching and developing a line of scalp care products specifically formulated for Asian scalps and tropical climates — rooted in natural herbs and powered by professional-grade formulations.
The Beginning: CHERISH
The first version of our scalp care line was named CHERISH, a name proposed by my family. Our very first product, a herbal tonic containing Ganoderma (white lingzhi), was originally intended to regulate internal health. Unexpectedly, it helped over 3,595 users achieve significant scalp improvement and regain confidence. We realized something essential: Health is the foundation of happiness — and helping others is a powerful joy. CHERISH symbolized our core values: love, care, and gratitude. And it became the seed of what our brand stands for.
